Prep Time: 30 min
Meal Type: Dessert, Snack
Servings: 8 portions
Dietary Preference: Vegetarian

Ingredients:

  • 2 rectangular sheets of dough (Flammkuchen dough)
  • Nutella
  • 1 Egg
  • Powdered sugar

Equipment:

  • Baking dish
  • Optional: Star-shaped cutter

Preparation:

  1. Ensure you have 2 equal rectangular sheets of dough. If using Flammkuchen dough, fold it in half and cut precisely down the middle.
  2. Spread Nutella evenly over one of the dough pieces up to the edges.
  3. Place the other dough piece on top of the Nutella-covered one.
  4. Sketch a Christmas tree shape on the two stacked dough pieces. You can choose to have it come to a point or leave the top straight if you want to add a star later.
  5. Once the Christmas tree is cut out from the dough, start making incisions from the sides. Be careful not to make these sections too wide, as it will make the twisting process more challenging.
  6. After you have incised both sides of the Christmas tree, you can then turn each side.
  7. Stick the desired number of stars on the tree and brush it with egg so that the Christmas tree gets a beautiful golden color when it comes out of the oven.
  8. Then, place the Christmas tree on a dish in a preheated oven at 220 degrees and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  9. Finally, sprinkle some powdered sugar over the Christmas tree as decoration.

And there you have it! An Easy and Stunning Nutella Christmas tree! Fun to serve for young and old on Christmas eve of a party!
